Mr. McCaney has over 20 years experience in the medical industry, principally in diagnostics and medical devices. In 2005, he founded Nitric BioTherapeutics, Inc. and has been President & CEO since that time. Prior to joining Nitric Bio, he was Sr. VP of Business Development at Viasys Healthcare where he was responsible for M&A, technology assessment and, for a time, Group President of the OEM medical companies of Viasys. His previous experience was at several of the larger healthcare conglomerates, mostly in Sales and Marketing roles and was partly responsible for the spinoff of Viasys from Thermo Electron Corp. Mr. McCaney has a B.S. in Biochemistry and an M.S. Eq. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
